ICC Issues Two Arrest Warrants in Darfur Crisis

On May 2, Pre-Trial Chamber I of the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants on charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes against two Sudanese officials for their respective roles in the Darfur crisis. The two men are Ahmad Muhammad Harun, the current Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, and Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-al-Rahman, a leader of the janjaweed militia.
